Canyon County Inmate Mail
Canyon County changed inmate mail handling effective January 29, 2024. Standard non-legal mail is scanned and sent electronically. Friends and family mail must use the inmate full name and inmate ID, Canyon County Jail, ID, PO Box 76550, Highland Heights, KY 41076. Legal mail uses the inmate full name and inmate ID, Canyon County Jail, 219 N. 12th Ave., Caldwell, ID 83605. Mail sent to the wrong address after March 29, 2024 is rejected.
Mail must include the inmate name and ID, a return address, and must be no larger than 8.5 by 11 inches, no thicker than light card stock, and able to feed through a scanner. The jail opens, inspects, and reads mail for contraband or rule violations. Violating mail is destroyed, and scanned mail is destroyed after scanning. Books are no longer accepted by the jail because the tablet system has a library of more than 70,000 books.
