Canyon County District Court

Idaho uses a unified state trial-court system. Canyon County Magistrate Judges

The Magistrate Division carries much of the daily public-facing workload in Canyon County. Magistrate judges handle traffic infractions, misdemeanor cases, small claims, many family calendars, protection orders, probate, guardianships, conservatorships, and preliminary felony matters. Juvenile magistrate work may be tied to the Juvenile Justice Center, and public access can be more limited for juvenile and minor-related records.

Third Judicial District

The Third Judicial District Trial Court Administration Office supports district operations across Adams, Canyon, Gem, Owyhee, Payette, and Washington counties. Canyon County Specialty Courts

Specialty courts are problem-solving calendars inside the Third Judicial District, not separate courts of record.
